Concerns Remain Over Foden

Phil Foden has posted on social media following his latest axe from the City line-up.

Phil Foden posted on social media after his latest axe from the City line-up and limited game time in recent games following the side’s win over Aston Villa.

The Blues edged a step closer to Champions League qualification thanks to a 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium. Matheus Nunes netted in stoppage time to seal a dramatic win, lifting Pep Guardiola’s side into third and creating a four-point gap over Villa.

Foden was an unused substitute once again, his third time sitting out in the last five Premier League fixtures. His omission comes during a crucial stretch of the season, as a Champions League place is up for grabs.

Foden has come under fire from some Man City fans, with questions raised over his performances and consistency. With Guardiola seemingly favouring other options in recent weeks, Foden appears to have slipped down the pecking order.

Despite the circumstances, he still posted a short but positive message after the game, showing his support for the team amid personal frustration.
